Younger Lagoon Reserve offers paid opportunies for students to work in support of the Reserve's mission to provide university-level teaching, research, and public service as Field Assistants.
Younger Lagoon Reserve Field Assistants are students dedicated to the success of restoration projects at Younger Lagoon Reserve. After completing at 2-unit internship with the Habitat Restoration Crew, students are encouraged to apply for a paid position as a Field Assistant. We are looking for motivated individuals who show genuine interest in our work, display leadership qualities, are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space for all visitors, and are available during the summer and winter breaks. Hiring for Field Assistants occurs during the Winter/Spring quarters and new employees are expected to join the team for summer training. Work study is available.
In order to be considered and competitive, applicants must:
- have previously completed a 2-unit internship at the Reserve,
- have a graduation date no sooner than the upcoming Fall quarter,
- be available to work during the summer.
Each team member will receive:
- an increase in leadership responsibilities,
- in depth trainings,
- compensation at $16/hour.
